The two week count down...

In two weeks time I will have left my well paying job, the friends I now consider family and Bristol, the city that's earned a very special place in my heart and I'll be a Londoner! Eeeek! A Londoner on a very special mission. I'll have begun my path to patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu and I'll be a step closer to becoming a food stylist and pastry chef. Oh my. My heart is full to the brim with joy and excitement.

In the two weeks running up to my induction day at Le Cordon Bleu, I have a pile of well selected books to read and of course I'll be moving house. I also have my school uniform list to tackle, which includes handing over money in exchange for a pair of Crocs...something I never thought I'd do. At least not willingly!

Being so close to my departure, I've been making it my priority to spend as much time as possible with friends, old and new. Today, I spent a couple of hours by the river with a new friend, a very talented new friend who is responsible for the name of my blog. We sat in the sun, we drank tea and coffee and ate a selection of patisserie delights. Much to my surprise and delight, he left me with a new book which has been promoted to the top of my reading list, Patisseries of Paris by Jamie Cahill. I cannot wait to get stuck in!

Let the 12 day count down begin!
